After the Dieselgate scandal, everyone looked very suspicious at Volkswagen models, asking themselves if there some tricks remaining inside the cars.

Not only Volkswagen suffered from this loss of faith, but also its brands that used the diesel engines: Skoda, Seat and even porsche. Now, the Stuttgart-based brand is ready to add to this uncertainty with another recall.

Porsche is recalling 409,477 Cayenne models worldwide from model years 2011 to 2016 to the workshop for a precautionary check, 30,607 thereof in Germany. The reason for this is that a circlip could be loose on the bearing bracket for pedals. The correct assembly will be checked in the workshop.

The problem was found during internal inspections and remedied in the ongoing series. Vehicle owners will be contacted directly by the Porsche dealer responsible for them. A workshop appointment that will be free of charge will take less than half an hour.

Even if it is just a preventative measure, the recall might affect Porsche clients trust in the brand.
