Various Internet media outlets are starting to offer details regarding the Porsche 918 Spyder price. The German hybrid sports car which was presented as a concept earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show will be showcased in August 2010 at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and as we’ve reported some time ago the car has received the green light for production.
Now this new info that has just emerged says the Porsche 918 Spyder price will be 500,000 Euro, which is the equivalent of 630,000 USD, and if that will be the case that will officially make it the most expensive production model coming from Stuttgart.
The hybrid system used by the Porsche 918 Spyder for propulsion is composed from a 500 HP V8 petrol engine and three electric motors that offer an additional 218 HP (160 kW). Thanks to this powering system the Porsche 918 Spyder will hit 100 Km/h (62 mph) from a stand still in 3.2 seconds while capable of reaching a top speed of 320 Km/h (198 mph).
Keep in mind that these impressive performance figures are offered by a supercar that needs 3.0-litres of fuel to cover 100 Km and has CO2 emissions of only 70 g/Km.
