Porsche 918 Spyder
is almost sold out. The Stuttgart hypercar was a huge success and Porsche enjoyed a lot of interest in the car.
 
According to Andre Oosthuizen, Vice President of Marketing for Porsche Cars North America, the 918 Spyder is almost sold out. The order list stretches out until next year in spring, April or March. It is difficult to cope with the demand, considering that Porsche built only 30 units so far, out of the 918 total.
 
Even if the car starts at $800,000 USD, there were people who wanted it in their garage. The end of production is expected in July 2015, until then US being the most eager country to have the 918 Spyder. If you want to make a reservation you have to contribute $250,000 USD (200.000 Euros) as a start.
 
We remind you that the 918 Spyder is powered by a 500 HP V8 plus 3 electric motors that generate and additional 160 kW. Details regarding performance indicate the Porsche 918 Spyder is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 Km/h (62 mph) in under a  seconds and reach a maximum speed of 320 Km/h (198 mph).
 
What is truly impressive is the fact that this kind of performance is achieved while the Porsche 918 Spyder needs only 3.0-litres of fuel per 100 kilometers (94.0 mpg) and has ultra-low CO2 emission of just 70 g/km.
