This Peugeot 508 review video was shot by Autocar in Spain, where the new diesel Estate version was tested on public roads.
The new Peugeot 508 replaces the old 407 and 607 models, and this particular Estate GT version is powered by a 2.2-litre HDi FAP engine producing 204 BHP and 450 Nm of torque, which makes it one of the most powerful models in its class.
Despite its power, efficiency levels are pretty good, and besides the fact that it uses a 6-speed automatic which can be set in sport mode, the Peugeot 508 also comes with a double wishbone front suspension and hydraulic steering, which make it according to Autocar surprisingly enjoyable to drive.
Material quality in the new Peugeot 508 has also went up, and the overall conclusion is that this Estate GT which is more than an utilitarian car, represents a serious rival for the Mondeo and Passat.
