One of the best selling small SUV`s on the market, along the Renault Captur and Peugeot 2008, the current Opel Mokka, which managed to reach 400.000 units sold worldwide, receives some important updates.

First of all there is a new diesel engine, the 1.6 CDTI, developed in house by General Motors. The 136 hp 1.6 CDTI only celebrated its debut at the beginning of the years. Now its smaller diesel sibling with 110 hp will also be available in the Mokka. It offers 300 Nm of torque, available already from 2,000 rpm.

In combination with a six-speed manual transmission, the turbo diesel propels the Mokka from 0 to 100 km/h in 12.5 seconds. It needs 11.8 seconds for mid-range acceleration from 80 to 120 km/h in fifth gear.

At the same time, the unit also reduces consumption, as Mokka only needs 4,3-4,1 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers which is equivalent to CO2 emissions of 109 grams per kilometer in the combined cycle.
