Nissan used this year Shanghai Motor Show to unveil an eco-friendly proposition to its Chinese clients. The current generation Murano gains a hybrid version.
The new Nissan Murano Hybrid is not much different in terms of design compared to its standard petrol or diesel brother. Under the hood though, we have a different setup.
Murano Hybrid is equipped with the new supercharged QR25DER gasoline engine and an electric motor paired with a compact Lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery efficiently controlled by the Nissan Intelligent Dual Clutch System (one motor/two clutch parallel system) which assists a torque with good response at low speed and a supercharger that can generate a high output power at the acceleration. It delivers a driving performance equivalent to the 3.5 liter V6 engine and offers better fuel economy, similar to the the one found on the 2.0 liter engine.
For the moment, the new Murano Hybrid will be on sale starting this summer only on the Chinese market.
