The current generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class is on market since three years and the German car manufacturer is already working on a facelift version. But the most important thing is that the Germans are planning the next generation which is expected to be on the market in 2020.

New details on next-generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class
According to Mercedes-Benz U.S. International CEO Jason Hoff the next generation C-Class will use more aluminum. More than that, the Germans have developed some advanced joining technologies. We are talking about steel welded to aluminum, laser welding, riveting and bounding. An important fact for the US market is that these joining technologies are going to be provided by C-Class suppliers in Vance, Alabama.

By using more aluminum and more efficient joining processes, Mercedes-Benz will shave off more weight. As a result, the car will be lighter and will have lower emissions and better fuel consumption.
