Mitsubishi updates the current Outlander Sport model on the US market. Also known as the Mitsubishi ASX on the European market, the compact crossover receives a new 2.4 liter petrol unit. The MIVEC 4-cylinder engine is producing 168 horsepower – a 20 horsepower increase over the current 2.0-liter engine.
 
To increase the appeal for its US customers, the model is offered with power driver’s seat, leather-wrapped parking brake handle, aluminum pedals, and exterior enhancements including a black center bumper along with black roof rails and outside mirrors with LED turn indicators.
 
The 2.4 GT model includes an optional GT Premium Package that consists of a 710-watt Rockford Fosgate premium sound system with 9 speakers including 10-in. dual-voice coil subwoofer with Punch Control, PremiDIA-WIDE surround, DTS Neural Surround, and Dolby Volume; auto dimming rearview mirror and panoramic glass roof with adjustable LED mood lighting.
 
The GT Touring Package adds more features including leather seating surfaces and MMCS Navigation system with 7-inch high definition touch panel, 3D mapping, point-of-interest information and real-time traffic.
 
The starting price is $21,295 USD for the ES version, while the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport 2.4 GT will ask $23,595 USD.
