Various sources are announcing that yet another new model will rely on the F800 Style’s platform, and this time the German automaker will develop a competitor for the BMW 5 Series GT and the soon to be launched Audi A7.
We are talking about the Mercedes CLS Estate which is scheduled for a first public appearance in concept form at the Beijing Motor Show in April.
The Mercedes CLS Estate production variant will almost be identical to the concept and market launch is expected to begin in 2012.
With the Mercedes CLS Estate, Daimler is trying to attract buyers that prefer niche vehicles, in an environment where "Traditional rules don’t apply any more. Established segments are becoming increasingly fragmented".
The Mercedes CLS Estate price will be around 56,000 Euros.
