Just like the CLS 63 AMG saloon, the Shooting Brake version uses a 5.5-litre biturbo V8 to produce 525 HP and 700 Nm of torque from 1,750 to 5,250 rpm, figures which can be increased to 550 HP and 800 Nm of torque with the optional Performance Package.
The car uses an AMG Speedshift MCT 7-speed sport transmission and depending on the output, it can sprint from 0 to 62 mph in wither 4.4 or 4.3 seconds, while its top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph.
In terms of efficiency the Mercedes CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake can cover 100 Km on 10.1 litres of fuel (28 mpg UK rating / 23.3 mpg US rating), while the CO2 emission levels reach 235 grams per Km.
As far as design, the elements that distinguish the CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake from the regular model are the sportier looking bumpers, the LED daytime running lights at the front, the more muscular wing arches, the quad pipe sports exhaust and the 19 inch wheels, while on the inside the most important features are the new flat bottom steering wheel, the AMG sport seats in nappa leather, the blackiano lacquer trim and the AMG specific analogue clock in an IWC design.
The CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake will become available for purchase in October 2012, but prices have not been announced yet.
