Mercedes-Benz has officially unveiled the all-new GLC Coupe Concept ahead of the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show debut. Described as being a near-production-standard study, the German prototype is the Mercedes-Benz’s answer to the BMW X4 model.
The upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe will be based on the second generation GLK (the model that will be renamed GLC) and on the outside it looks like a miniature GLE Coupe.
The German concept has 4.73 meters long, approximately 1.6 meter high and a 2.83 meter wheelbase. On the outside we also see a modified grille, new headlights and taillights and special 21 inch alloy wheels. The sloping roofline enables the GLE Coupe Concept to look like a proper coupe model.
Under the hood, the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe Concept is a V6 3.0 liter bi-turbo engine rated at 367 horsepower at 5.500 rpm and 520 Nm between 1.400 and 4.000 rpm. The unit is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission and to a 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.
