Dieter Zetsche, Daimler CEO, has confirmed that the a GLA concept will be introduced at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show.
 
The good news are going further because the German boss also told that the production version could be introduced this year at Frankfurt Auto Show in September.

The new Mercedes-Benz GLA will be based on the A-Class but will have revised bodywork and an increased ride height. In January the spy photographers caught a few shots of the GLA 45 AMG. The performance version of the GLA will be powered by the same 2.0 liter turbocharged engine that can produce 349 bhp and 450 Nm of torque.

All the ponies will get to the gravel via a seven speed dual clutch gearbox and thanks to the latest 4MATIC four-wheel-drive system.
