455 horsepower and 0 to 60 in under 4 seconds: this is the thrill a factory Chevrolet Corvette Stingray can provide for you. People who ever tried this kind of power can tell that it’s not something to joke about: it takes a hell of a good driver and a racetrack to push the throttle to maximum, and not wreck the car.

While the most powerful version of the Corvette, the ZR1 is still to come, engineers at Hennessey Performance come with five impressive tuning packages for the popular sports coupe, and the packages can be customized, too. This way the Hennessey Corvette Stingrays will be probably the fastest Corvettes money could buy.

The entry-level Hennessey Corvette Stingray package (HPE 500) churns out about 500 horsepower from Chevy’s aspirated V8. The HPE 600 and the HPE 700 will use an Eaton TVS R2300 supercharger system to boost the performance to 600, respectively 700 horsepower (the numbers in the package names denote the output).

The HPE800 and HPE1000 use dual turbochargers, forged pistons and lots of special hardware to deliver up to 1,000 horsepower, which in terms of drivability is probably very close to pure madness. The Hennessey Corvette Stingray packages also include aerodynamic improvements like carbon fiber spoilers, skirts and diffuser.

The suspension system on Hennessey Corvette Stingrays is also improved using Penske double-adjustable shocks, and the wheels are changed to 10-spoke H10 alloys with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The carbon-ceramic brakes come from Brembo. The interior also gets updated with a few ultralight, racing-spec features.

According to John Hennessey, its tuning manufacture is usually cautious on performance estimates, but their performance packages for the C7 Corvettes should be at least as fast as the old, C6 versions. The first Hennessey Corvette Stingrays will arrive by the end of the year.
