There is no secret that Jeep is working on a pickup. Today, Mark Allen, Jeep’s Head of Design, has revealed that the Jeep Crew Chief concept previews the upcoming pickup.

"The East Jeep Safari concepts provide some hints about what’s going on behind the scenes. There may be things you see on the Crew Chief that you might see on that truck", said Allen.

More than that, the Jeep official has revealed that the new pickup will come as a crew cab model a concept that the company has never done this before. As a result, we should see a model based on the Wrangler Unlimited in a crew cab configuration.

As a reminder, the Jeep Crew Chief concept is based on the Wrangler Unlimited and comes as a tribute to previous Jeep military models. The car comes with a retro-inspired front fascia and special 20 inch wheels wrapped in 40-inch NDT military tires. The Jeep Crew Chief concept also has rock rails, a winch, a 4-inch lift kit, and Dana 60 axles.
