Jaguar has officially announced today that their C-X75 hybrid supercar , which premiered at the Paris Motor Show last year, will go into production.
Adrian Hallmark, Jaguar Brand Director said that "The C-X75 received an incredible reception as a concept car. We’ve been
building on that momentum and there is a clear business case for this
exclusive halo model. No other vehicle will better signify Jaguar’s
renewed confidence and excellence in technological innovation than this."
We will remind you the most notable features regarding the C-X75 : power comes from a hybrid system comprising of electric motors and an internal combustion engine which enable 0 to 60 mph acceleration times of 3.0 seconds (0 to 100 mph in 6 seconds) and a top speed of over 200 mph. The Jaguar C-X75 is built around an all carbon fibre chassis, features four wheel drive and when running on electric power alone, the car is capable of covering up to 50 Km.
Supercar performance does not come at the expense of polluting the environment as the Jaguar C-X75 emits less than 99 grammes of CO2 per Km.
Carl-Peter Forster, CEO Tata Motors. "This is the Jaguar of the future.
The opportunity for innovation like this in the UK is part of the reason
Tata Motors invested in Jaguar, and it’s fantastic that products like
the C-X75 can become reality."
Production will be limited to 250 units, with the Jaguar X-C75 price starting at 700,000 GBP depending on the local market and taxes.
