It’s been only a couple of days since Chevrolet has revealed the 2014 Corvette Stingray at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show and a set of pictures with the convertible version of the American supercar has hit the web.

These two pictures were first seen on The Auto Insider magazine and the article editor added: "I might add, this is no render.  No pixels were pushed."

A few hours after this news, Michael Albano, Chevrolet Director of Communications told Matt Hardigree, from Jalopnik, that those are not photos of the upcoming Stingray convertible. But the problem does not end here. The Brits from AutoExpress told that these leaked photos were posted to the site of die-cast car model maker Maisto.

Anyway, the Corvette Stingray Convertible is basically identical to the model presented in Detroit, but the drop top has a few design tweaks. Under the hood we probably see the same 6.2 liter V8 engine as the hard top that can deliver 450 HP.
