The supercar segment will soon say Hello! to the new Vulcano. The supercar is made in Italy and was designed by Icona, an Italian design house based in Shanghai, China.

The Icona Vulcano is a two-seater that uses a hybrid powertrain. In front of the hood there is a V12 engine backed by a pair of electric motor. According to Icona officials, the drivetrain is the "baby" of Claudio Lombardi, former powertrain technical director of Ferrari.

The V12 hybrid powertrain will output a combined power of "up to 900 HP" allowing the supercar to sprint from stand still to 200 km/h in under 10 seconds. The top speed is clocked "around 350 km/h".

The world premiere of the new Icona Vulcano will take place at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show this April.
