Fisker has unveiled their previously teased shooting brake concept in Frankfurt today. The car is called the Fisker Surf and it represents the company’s second model after the Karma.

In fact, the Surf is derived from the Karma, and even though it seems inspired by the Ferrari FF, Henry Fisker said that he actually thought of the 1970 Lamborghini Espada when he designed it.

The Fisker Surf is expected to spawn a production model within the next year, and its price tag will most likely hover around 100,000 USD.

The Fisker Surf shooting brake is powered by a 20 kWh lithium-ion battery that feeds electricity to two motors which develop 402 HP and 1,330 Nm of torque. This configuration enables the car to sprint from nought to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 125 mph.

The car is also equipped with a 2.0-litre petrol engine that serves as a generator, which goes into action after the Surf’s battery is out of electricity. And speaking of that, the company has mentioned the Fisker Surf can travel for around 50 miles with zero emissions by using only its battery.

When the petrol engine is used, the car’s autonomy is raised to 250 miles.
