VUHL is a new niche company who is trying to create lightweight supercars. The name of the car maker stands for "Vehicles of Ultra-Lightweight and High-Performance" and is run by two brothers, Iker and Guillermo Echeverria.

They also have a Mexican-American design agency called Etxe. The first VUHL 05 will be unveiled during the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed that will take place between July 11 and 14.

The company has some tradition and racing DNA in the past, as the two brother’s father built GT and formula racing cars over 30 years.

“We intend VUHL products to be renowned for their effective simplicity and aesthetics guided by a purity of function. The 05 and its successors will also be notable for uncompromising build quality, rigorous attention to detail and a driving experience par excellence.” said one of the brothers.
