A few days ago we showed you the new Ferrari F12tdf, a special edition of the Italian supercar, named after Tour de France competition. Not the cycling competition as you would suspect, but a race competition, that was held in France between 1899 and 1986.
Beside the extre 40 hp, Ferrari F12tdf comes with a innovation for Ferrari. Using a rear-wheel steering system is a first for Ferrari. The technology is called Virtual Short Wheelbase (Passo Corto Virtuale) and was created to inrease stability during high-speed cornering.
For those of you who can not understand how this works, Ferrari published a video showing how the installation of Passo Corto Virtuale is helping the driver in tight corners.
