This next footage is a compilation video called the ‘Group B Monsters – The Day of Madness’ , featuring a series of slow motion clips that captures pretty much all the crazy aspects or rallying from back in 1982 through 1986.
The Group B regulations were introduced by FIA in 1982 and came as a replacement for Group 4 and Group 5, which basically meant putting drivers behind the wheel of some of the fastest, most powerful and sophisticated rally cars ever made.
The number of fans grew rapidly, but as you can imagine the speed spectacle was closely related to accidents, some of which were fatal, and as a result the FIA has disestablished the Group B class in 1986.
