China is rewriting the history with 20 million cars sold in 2013. Not even USA (15.6 million cars sold in 2013), with an automotive market in growth can’t touch this impressive figure. According to IIHS data, China market has growth with 12 percent over 2012, and it seems the 2014 will have the same up way. 

The largest growth of all was recorded in the sedan segment. 47% more sedans were sold in China in 2013 than the year before (7.3 million cars). The top selling model was the Ford Focus with 403.000 units sold a rise of 36.2 percent.
 
The second place of the top was occupied by Volkswagen Lavida, while in the last place came Buick Excelle. The Volkswagen is the bestselling brand in China followed by Hyundai, Toyota, Nissan and General Motors.
