Chevrolet is enjoying good sales for the current Corvette Stingray, as the supercar is one of the most loved cars in the US. Since the model launch, Chevrolet sold 19,915 Corvette Stingrays. Still, the car is in short supply.
Recently, General Motors announced that Corvette Stingray buyers are focusing on performance. This information comes after GM confirmed that 40% of Corvette buyers choose a manual gearbox in favour of an automatic one.
Most of the buyers preffer to change the gears themselves with the help of the seven speed transmission, that send all the power and torque to the back axle. The other 60 percent of Corvette buyers opt for a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters.
From next year, General Motors Company will also introduce the option of selecting a new eight-speed auto.
GM also unveiled that 55% of its clients opt for the Z51 performance package, which includes uprated suspension and brakes, more-aggressive aero, a limited-slip differential, and improved cooling.
