A few weeks ago, Caterham officials have announced us that their company will start offering city cars and crossovers. Today, a new report is indicating that the British car manufacturer needs strong partnership to deliver those units.

According to Autocar who managed to speak with Tony Fernandes, Caterham Chairman, the British company will rely on partnerships to extend the lineup.

"With a car joint venture, we would, in some ways, be leasing other people’s technology by sharing platforms and using factories that have already been built", said Fernandes. More than that he agrees that if they will work with another company, Caterham will save hundreds of millions of pounds in tooling.
