Right before this year’s Geneva Motor Show, Bentley was informing us they have beaten the world speed record on ice after reaching 205,48 mph (330,695 Km/h) in a Supersports Convertible driven by Juha Kankkunen, on the frozen waters of the Baltic Sea.

But it seems like their record wasn’t meant to last for too long, as an Audi RS6 model equipped with Nokian Tires has recently set a new Guinness record, after averaging a top speed of 206,06 mph (331,610 Km/h) on a 14 Km long ice track in the Gulf of Bothnia in Oulu, Finland.

The record-breaking Audi RS6 equipped with Nokian Hakkapeliitta 7 studded tyres (size 255/35R20 97 T XL) was driven by Janne Laitinen and Matti Morri, Technical Customer Service Manager at Nokian Tires explains how driving in these demanding conditions and at speeds of 331 Km/h creates pressure, and can increase the diameter of the tires by 15 to 20 mm.
