The Brits from CarMagazine have recently reported that Audi may buy Italian superbike manufacturer Ducati.
One of their high-ranking sources have uncovered Audi’s plan on expanding from four wheels to two wheels, and they say that if everything goes well, a deal will most likely be finalised in mid April.
Despite their previous report which mentioned Dacati having an accumulated debt of around 800 million Euro, the Italian brand’s liabilities are actually at around 200 million Euro, which according to the same source, means that Audi could pay about 250 to 300 million Euro to acquire Ducati.
Mercedes-Benz and the Indians from Mahinda & Mahindra are also interested in this deal, but they are in disadvantage due to the fact that Audi hold the first rights to buy Ducati.
