After we saw a first video teaser of the future concept car, set to be unveiled at the end of this month, during Los Angeles Motor Show, we now have some sketches.

The car, called A9 Concept by the entire media, is the new business card for Audi’s head of design, Marc Lichte. The concept was designed in Ingolstadt and is responsible for promoting the new design language of the premium brand, set to be applied on all models, starting next year. The first candidate will be the next generation Audi A4, set to be unveiled in the second part of the year.

The design concept we will see in LA will be 5.1 meters (200 inches) long, 1.95 meters (76 inches) wide and only 1.39 meters (54 inches) high. It will be based on the MLB platform and will have a light structure, based on aluminum.

The design will feature sharper lines and a coupe-like back end. Sources already talk about a new top of the range luxury sedan, called A9, and with a coupe form.
