Aston Martin has revealed the all-new Aston Martin Vantage GT8. The car will be offered as a limited-run version and comes with important modifications.

They guys from Aston Martin have remove some weight, have added some power and have improved the aerodynamics.

According to the British car manufacturer, the all-new Aston Martin Vantage GT8 is 220 pounds (100 kilograms) lighter than the V8 Vantage S, clocking just 3,549 lbs (1,610 kg). This was possible thanks to installing a new lithium-ion battery and polycarbonate rear screen and side windows. There is also a carbon roof, a titanium exhaust and new magnesium wheels.

Even though the engineers have focused on reducing the weight, the Aston Martin Vantage GT8 features a 160-watt sound system and air conditioning.

Under the hood of the Aston Martin Vantage GT8 is the same V8 4.7 liter engine that can deliver 446 horsepower with 10 HP more than the S version and 490 Nm peak of torque. Customers will be able to choose from a standard six-speed manual transmission and an optional Sportshift II seven-speed automated manual transmission.

As a result, the Aston Martin Vantage GT8 can run from stand still to 60mph in 4.4 seconds, while the top speed is clocked at 190 mph.

According to the British car manufacturer, only 150 units will be made.
