The production version Aston Martin V12 Zagato has just been officially revealed by the British brand. The car will debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month and work on its assembly will begin during the third quarter of 2012.

The Aston Martin V12 Zagato price will start at 330,000 GBP plus tax, and customer deliveries are expected to commence towards the end of 2012.

Limited to just 150 exemplars, the Aston Martin V12 Zagato is described as the "pinnacle of the Vantage range" and the latest expression of a collaboration which has given birth to a series of striking GT cars over the last half-century.

Aston's CEO, Dr Ulrich Bez stated that "Our relationship with Zagato stretches back more than 50 years. Togetherin that time we have created a series of very special cars. The first –the DB4GT Zagato – is a true icon: fast, beautiful and

incredibly desirable. In the V12 Zagato I believe we have captured the spirit of that car and combined it with a confident twist of modernity to give it acharacter all of its own."

The car represents the incarnation of modern ideas and materials as well as technology pioneered on the One-77 with the production process scheduled to take place at the company's main headquarters in Gaydon, Warwickshire.

The V12 Zagato takes approximately 2,000 man-hours to build, with the car being constructed from a combination of hand-crafted aluminium (used on the bonnet the roof and the doors) and carbon fiber (front and rear fenders, door sills and boot lid surround).

As it is based on the Vantage, the V12 Zagato will feature the company's 6.0-litre engine producing 510 HP and 420 lb-ft of torque, an output which gets the rear wheels spinning via a 6-speed manual transmission.

Performance figures were not confirmed yet, but the Aston Martin V12 Zagato is expected to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in close to 4.2 seconds and its top speed is going to hover around the 190 mph mark.

The car will be available in four unique colours (Scintilla Silver, Alloro Green, Alba Blue and Diavolo Red), with the panting process alone taking around 100 hours to complete.

At the interior the 330,000 GBP price tag will be justified by "sculptural surfaces and jewel-like details", semi-aniline finishes that provide durability while preserving the natural texture of leather, hand-stitched quilting, satin-finish carbon fibre on the dashboard and centre stack as well as piano black accents and satin black rotary switchgear.

The cabin also contains a carbon fiber sill plate with the "V12 Zagato" moniker.
