ABT AS8 Audi S8

ABT Sportsline has presented the latest enhancement program for the latest generation Audi S8, a program dubbed the AS8 which according to them, will turn the German model into a real "sports-car limo".

The ABT AS8 Audi S8 combines the standard elements of an elegant and luxurious touring car with the output and handling characteristics of a super sports-car, something which many would call a vehicle that combines the best of both worlds.

So lets get down to real numbers. The ABT tuned Audi A8 which as we all know develops 520 HP (382 kW) and 650 Nm of torque as standard, has been uprated to 620 HP (456 kW) and 780 Nm of torque, figures which in terms of performance mean a 0 to 100 Km/h sprint time of 4.0 seconds (from 60 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, from 80 to 120 Km/h in 3.5 seconds and from 0 to 200 Km/h in 13 seconds), and also a top speed of 290 Km/h.

The AS8's top speed is electronically limited, and if you want to improve the vehicle's handling even further, ABT recommends installing the ABT Level Control kit which allows the lowering of the car's pneumatic suspension.

The visual elements that hint at the fact that this is not a stock Audi S8 are the wheels which can range from 19 to 21 inch in size and come wrapped in high-performance tires.
