Nissan has updated the current Altima model in the US, and now announced prices for the sedan. The 2017 Altima is available at dealers nationwide with a starting price of $22,500 USD, unchanged from the 2016 Altima 2.5 model.

Altima continues to lead Nissan sales in 2016 (through August), following sales of more than 333,000 units last year.

The 2017 Altima is available in a choice of seven models, 2.5, 2.5 S, 2.5 SR, 2.5 SV, 2.5 SL, 3.5 SR and 3.5 SL. The sporty Altima SR, introduced just last year as part of a major Altima redesign, now accounts for over 30 percent of total sales. The five 2.5-liter models feature a 182-horsepower 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine, while 3.5-liter Altimas offer a 270-horsepower 3.5-liter V6. All 2017 Altima are equipped with an advanced Xtronic transmission.

The 2017 Altima offers standard fuel economy of 39 miles per gallon highway for Altima 2.5-liter engine equipped models, a full six miles per gallon advantage over the leading competitive model (by sales) in the segment.

The list of available Altima class-exclusive features includes Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Easy-fill Tire Alert and NASA-inspired Zero Gravity seats. Available Nissan Safety Shield technologies range from radar-based Blind Spot Warning and Intelligent Cruise Control to Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Also available on the new Altima is a 7.0-inch displays, Siri Eyes Free (standard on all grade levels except 2.5), NissanConnect with Navigation and Mobile Apps and NissanConnect Services Powered by SiriusXM telematics (SiriusXM subscription required, sold separately).
