Daimler has officially unveiled the 2017 Mercedes-AMG GT R. The impressive model was revealed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and features an impressive look and unique performances. 

First of all we found out that the 2017 Mercedes-AMG GT R is lighter than the GT S. It tips the scales at 1.554 kilograms which is 90 kilos lighter than the S version. More than that, the 2017 Mercedes-AMG GT R now deliver 577 horsepower and 699 Nm peak of torque.

The power is sent to the wheels via a dual-clutch seven speed sport transmission that was optimized for the new R version. According to Mercedes-AMG the first gear is longer while the seventh gear has a shorter ratio in order to deliver better acceleration. As a result, the 2017 Mercedes-AMG GT R can run the not to 100 km/h run in just 3,5 seconds while the top speed is clocked at 318 km/h.

The 2017 Mercedes-AMG GT R also comes with a special exterior color named AMG Green Hell Magno and also features a derived AMG Panamericana exterior package.
