Regarded as one the best off-roaders ever created, the Mitsubishi Pajero is ready to welcome a new generation. The long-awaied model will be unveiled this summer, as Mitsubishi`s ress release announces.

The Japanese manufacturer announces the launch date and also the new technology we will see on the new Pajero. Lining to current technological demands, the new Pajero will offer its clients a Smartphone Link Display Audio (SDA) system for both Google Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This will be the first MMC model to be fitted with this system and MMC will sequentially expand the models and regions it will be available.

SDA allows users of either Android smartphones or iPhones to connect to the dashboard display using a USB cable. The system is designed to prioritize allowing the driver, either by using the touchscreen or by voice control to safely and simply: access navigation and other apps on their smartphone, make and receive phone calls, send and receive text messages and listen to music. Moreover, using the latest map information from the smartphone, updating map information for the car's navigation system becomes unnecessary.

Mitsubishi although announces that the clients will be able to use Android Auto or CarPlay only with an Android 5.0+ (Lollipop) or iOS8+ devices respectively. Also, Smartphone Link Display Audio will not operate in areas with no service signal and may not operate in supported areas where the signal is weak.
