Toyota unveiled the first photos and details of its first mass production hydrogen fuell cell vehicle: the FCV.
Called after the same FCV prototype, the new model is said to arrive on local Japanese market at the begining of next year, most probably before April. The car will also be sold in Europe and United states, but these markets will be introduced to it later on, in summer 2015.
The new Toyota FCV will be available in Japan`s region with a hydrogen refueling infrastructure. The car will need only 3 minutes to fully refuel the tank, which is a lot less than what you need for an electric car.
The drive train will allow the car to run from 0 to 100 km/h in a decent 10 seconds, while the hydrogen tank will guarantee a maximum range of almost 500 kilometers or 300 miles.
Toyota announced that the new FCV hydrogen fueled vehicle will be available at a starting price of 68.700 USD or 40.500 GBP.
