Volvo has unveiled today the first official pictures and the first details of the all-new 2014 V60 Plug-in Hybrid equipped with the R-Design package. The model is featuring a new front bumper and grille, a sporty rear air diffuser and 18 inch alloy wheels. 

Inside the cabin, the 2014 Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid with R-Design package has sports seats, pedals and floor mats and a Volvo On Call system. The latter one allows the driver to access various car functions via a smartphone application. 

Under the hood of the Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid with R-Design package is the same 5-cylinder 2.4 liter turbodiesel engine rated at 215 horsepower and 440 Nm peak of torque. The internal combustion engine resources are sent to the front wheel via a six speed automatic transmission. In addition, there is an electric engine rated at 70 horsepower and 200 Nm peak of torque which powers the rear axle. It is connected to an 11.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

On electric power, the Swedish car can travel up to 50 kilometers, while in hybrid mode, it can offer a range of 1.000 kilometers.
