Toyota will be using this year Paris Motor Show to unveil its new compact family, a comprehensively renewed range of models, all based on the new generation Auris.
The C-segment car will be built exclusively in Britain, at Toyota’s Burnaston factory and it’s determined to be more appealing to it’s customers, thanks to a wide range of engine options. Along the already anticipated diesel and petrol units, Auris will also have a hybrid version, expected to account for one third of it’s European sales. In the UK, the expectations for the hybrid version will be even bigger: 40% expected.
Toyota will also add an estate body style to the new Auris. It will be called Auris Tourer and it will be the first model in it’s class to offer the choice of full hybrid power. This way, Toyota will have more chances in a segment that accounts for 25 of the European market share.
The third member of the Auris family is going to be Verso. The family car will adopt a new design language and a more powerfull and much cleaner version of the current D-4D 2.0 liter diesel. Except the new engine, Verso also promises good driving dynamics and a revised interior space.
