This week Seat will introduce the new generation of the 2013 Leon at the Paris Motor Show.
The Spanish carmaker will present only the five-door hatchback version which will preview the forthcoming three-door SC model and the estate version. Also, the officials have announced that the new-generation Leon will be presented in both FR and SE specifications.
The new Leon is the first car in its class to offer full LED headlamp, and rumor has it that the car will be bigger and more practical than the outgoing model.
Thanks to advanced construction techniques Leon is approximately 90 kilograms lighter than its predecessor model-for-model, and it comes with a 380-litre boot, a 40 liter improvement over its predecessor, while a 6 centimeter increase between the wheels offers more legroom for occupants.
Under the hood the 2013 Leon will be offered with a choice of five engines, with outputs varying from 89 hp to 181 hp (135 kW) for the 2.0-liter TDI. The most powerful gasoline engine will be the 1.8-liter TSI with 178 hp (132 kW), and depending on the choice of the engine, the new car can get a 5- or a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6- and 7-speed DSG gearbox.
