2013 Porsche Cayenne GTS Revealed

Porsche has unveiled the second generation Cayenne GTS ahead of its world debut at the 2012 Auto China in Beijing.

This new SUV which concentrates on sporty performance comes with a more powerful engine, a lower ride height and a revised chassis, and as Porsche claims, it continues to fill the gap between the Cayenne S and the Cayenne Turbo.

So to get to the good stuff, the 2013 Porsche Cayenne GTS uses an uprated V8 engine producing 420 HP (309 kW) which spins the wheels via an 8-speed Tip-tronic S transmission with integrated auto start/stop function. Thank to this engine the new Cayenne GTS sprints from 0 to 100 Km/h in 5.7 seconds, (0 to 160 km/h in 13.3 seconds), can hit a top speed of 261 Km/h and is able to cover 100 Km on just 10.7 litres of fuel.

The vehicle's chassis is now backed by the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), while its body sits with 24 mm closer to the ground if we were to compare it to the Cayenne S.

In terms of styling the GTS version comes with a front end borrowed from the Cayenne Turbo, plus glossy black frames and trims, prominent side skirts, wider wheel arches and a distinctive roof spoiler. Its interior comes with leather and various Alcantara elements as standard plus front seats that offer eight adjustment options.

The 2013 Porsche Cayenne GTS will go on sale in July 2012, and on the company's home market it will start from 90,774 Euro.
