Mini is expanding its John Cooper Works family with a performance version of the current Countryman. The crossover is also the first JCW model that comes with an all-wheel drive system, the well-known ALL4.
The four-door family crossover comes with the same 1.6 liter turbocharged engine, equipped with direct injection and capable of delivering 218 horsepower and 300 Nm, thanks to an overboost function. The new Countryman will also be the first JCW model offered with a sex speed automatic transmission, along the classic six-speed manual transmission.
Thanks to the its turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the new Countryman JCW can reach 100 km/h in just 7 seconds, topping a speed of 225 km/h. Even in this conditions, Mini promises a combined fuel economy of just 7.2 liter/100 km and CO2 emissions of 167 g/km.
On the outside, the new Mini Countryman JCW gains an aerodynamic kit, sports suspension and exhaust system, 18-inch light-alloy wheels and an exclusive Chilli Red contrasting paintwork for the roof and exterior mirrors.
The new Mini Countryman JCW goes on sale in Britain with a starting price of £28,595.
