Daimler has announced the 2013 Mercedes ML63 AMG price today and also told us what its 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine is capable of in terms of performance, consumption and emissions.
The ML63’s new V8 engine is capable of unleashing 525 HP (386 kW) and 700 Nm of torque (or 557 HP / 410 kW and 760 Nm with the optional AMG Performance Package) figures which enable the sporty SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 Km/h in 4.8 second and 4.7 seconds respectively, and hit a top speed of 250 Km/h (electronically limited).
Despite the impressive power figures, the 2013 Mercedes ML63 AMG is 28 percent more efficient than its predecessor, with the NEDC fuel consumption figures indicating that the car will require 11.8-litres per 100 Km and will emits 276 grams of CO2 per Km (with or without the AMG Performance pack).
The 2013 Mercedes ML63 AMG price starts at 108,885 Euro or at 115,906 Euro for the AMG Performance package equipped version, and sales are expected to start in April.
Among the many enhancements over the standard ML, this AMG version features the AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension with the newly developed ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM for active roll stabilisation, plus an engine technology package which includes spray-guided direct petrol injection with piezo injectors, an ECO start-stop system, an all-aluminium crankcase, four valves per cylinder with camshaft adjustment, air-water intercooling and alternator management.
The new ML63 AMG is equipped with an AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC which feeds the engine’s power to all four wheels.
