Autoexpress has tested the 2013 Mercedes A Class, a model which lost its mini-MPV appearance, that is set to compete against the new Audi A3 and the new BMW 1 Series.
The British journalist agrees that on looks alone, the new A Class is definitely the best of all three, but in terms of performance there is a slightly different story, as we are talking about body-roll and a transmission which is not as responsive as you would expect.
There are other 'issues' that Autoexpress has found as far as the interior and the luggage compartment, but you'll have to watch the video yourself and see if those are indeed problems that would prevent you from buying a new A Class.
Also if you are concerned by the lack of performance on the new A Class, then you might want to wait for the A45 AMG to be launched.
