The Molsheim based car manufacturer Bugatti has unveiled at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance the new Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Jean-Pierre Wimille Special Edition. The new car is a part of a six-model “Legend” lineup that will pay tribute to the company’s most important names in its history.

The new special version is was named after Jean-Pierre Wimille, the driver who managed to win in 1937 and 1939 the 24 Hours of Le Mans in a Bugatti Type 57G Tank. On the outside, the model comes with some Le Mans inspired vinyl and some logos of the legend driver signature.

Inside the cabin, the 2013 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Jean-Pierre Wimille has a two tone (Bleu Wimillle – Lake Blue) leather upholstery stitched with light blue. There are also some carbon fiber accessories and a special “Les Legendes de Bugatti” badging.

Under the hood, the customers will get the same 8.0-liter W16 engine that can deliver 1.200 horsepower and 1.500 Nm peek of torque. The engine resources are put to the ground via a seven-speed double clutch gearbox. In these conditions, the 2013 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Jean-Pierre Wimille can sprint from stand still to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds, while the top speed is clocked at 408.84 km/h (254 mph).

The 2013 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Jean-Pierre Wimille will be built in only three units and, of course, each one will have a special price tag.
