2012 Renault Scenic and Grand Scenic Facelift

Renault has published a set of new photos with the facelifted 2012 Scenic and Grand Scenic. Europe's number one compact MPV range comes with a refreshed appearance, upgrade materials and finishes inside the cabin plus two new engines.

Both the short version (the Scenic) and the long-wheelbase version (the Grand Scenic) received redesigned front lights and wings, a new front bumper and bonnet plus a new A pillar, with the Scenic looking a bit more sportier due the extensive usage of chrome, while the Grand Scenic features more horizontal lines.

The new engines offered on the 2012 Renault Scenic and Grand Scenic are the Energy TCe 115, a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol rated at 115 HP and 190 Nm of torque,and the Energy dCi 110, a 1.5-liter inline-four diesel developing 110 HP and 260 Nm of torque, with the diesel unit offering the lowest fuel consumption figures in its class, through its record-braking figures of 4.1-litres per 100 Km.

The Energy dCi 110 engine emits 105 g/Km of CO2, so not only is it more powerful than the curent 1.5 dCi 110 unit (by 20 Nm), it is also friendlier to the environment. 

The new Renault Scenic and Grand Scenic range premiered at the Brussels Motor Show in Belgium and is expected to go on sale in around 40 countries in the course of 2012.
