2012 Citroen C1 Facelift

Citroen has revealed photos and details with the facelift version C1 yesterday, and they claim that their entry-level city car is now sharper and greener than ever.

Apart from the minor styling changes, the 2012 Citroen C1 comes with enhanced levels of equipment and a more efficient engine.

The new features include LED daytime running lights, a CD audio system, Bluetooth and USB connectivity and an Electronic Gearbox System with steering-mounted paddles, while the 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine developing 68 HP is now offering improved consumption figures (up to 65.7 mpg / UK rating for the manual version) and CO2 emissions of 99 g/Km.

For versions using the Electronic Gearbox System these figures will go up a little, at 62.8 mpg (combined UK rating), with CO2 levels reaching 104 g/Km.

The 2012 Citroen C1 facelift measures 3,44 m in length, is available in both 3-door and 5-door configurations, features a boot volume of 139 litres, expandable to 00 litres with the rear seats folded, and has a turning circle of 9.63 metres. 

The new C1 has also gained newly designed 14 inch alloys, attractive colours and materials for the interior, a leather steering wheel in the EGS models and a Leather/Alcantara option for a high-end touch.

The facelifted C1 will premiere at the Brussels Motor Show on Tuesday 10 January and will go on sale in the UK starting from April 2012.

Pricing was not announced yet.
