2012 Audi TT RS Plus

A more potent version Audi TT-RS was unveiled by the German car maker lust night, with this new model being called the TT-RS Plus.

Available in both Coupe and Roadster body styles, the new TT-RS Plus benefits from a 20 HP/15 Nm of torque increase, which means its total output is 360 HP and 465 NM (342.97 lb-ft) of torque.

Scheduled to go on sale in April after its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, the new Audi TT-RS Plus will be offered with a few unique visual features, among which customers will notice the polished anthracite finish grille surrounded by the matt-aluminium-look frame, the exterior mirror casings made from carbon-fiber reinforced polymer and the 19 inch wheels painted in black and with red accents.

The new TT-RS Plus will also come with a new valve controlled exhaust system which means the 2.5-litre turbocharged engine from under the bonnet will sound more aggressive.

In terms of performance the new TT sprints from 0 to 62 mph (100 Km/h) in 4.1 seconds (4.2 seconds in the Roadster), when we are talking about the S tronic equipped model, while the manual version is slightly slower, as it requires 4.3 seconds (4.4 seconds / Roadster). Top speed is limited to 174 mph (280 Km/h) on both variants.

The TT-RS Plus Coupe equipped with the S tronic transmission returns 8.4-litres (27.7 US mpg) to cover 100 Km, while the Roadster will use 8.6-litres (27.4 US mpg) to cover the same distance.

Pricing for the Audi TT-RS Plus starts at 60,650 Euro on Germany for the manual version, and at 62,800 Euro for the 7-speed S tronic. The Roadster is slightly more expensive at 63,500 Euro or 65,650 Euro for the coupe and roadster.
