2012 Audi RS4 Avant UK Price

The four rings car maker announced UK pricing for the 2012 Audi RS4 Avant. Customer delivery for this new performance avant will begin in autumn this year, with the car available for ordering from 54,925 GBP.

The new RS4 Avant comes with a 4.2-litre V8 producing 450 PS at 8,250 rpm and 430 Nm of torque between 4,000 and 6,000 rpm, figures which enable 0 to 62 mph acceleration times of 4.7 seconds and a limited top speed of 155 mph.

The top speed can be increased to 174 mpg if required, while in the efficiency department, the RS4 Avant is expected to return 26.4 mpg (UK rating), in a combined cycle test.

Just like every RS model, the RS4 Avant comes with a permanent all-wheel-drive quattro system enhanced in this case by the automaker's crown-gear centre differential and a sports rear differential, an architecture that enables a 40:60 power split in

normal conditions but which can also send 70 percent of power to the front or 85 percent to the rear in various demanding conditions.

Standard features on the RS4 Avant include 19-inch 10-spoke design aluminium wheels with 265/35-series tyres,  a 20 mm lower suspension, ventilated brake discs with 8-piston callipers and also a series of exterior and interior styling elements that differentiate it from the regular A4 Avant and reflect the vehicle's sporty nature.

On the optional list customers will find features such as carbon Dynamic Ride Control (DRC) and dynamic steering, carbon fibre-ceramic brake discs and a sports exhaust system.

The automaker is also offering a new optional Sport Package that adds 20 inch rotor design aluminium or titanium look alloys, a tuned exhaust that amplifies the V8's engine note for an extra 2,250 GBP.
