2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe

GM has released information regarding the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe which will premiere at the 2010 NAIAS in Detroit next week, a car that combines both luxury and driving dynamics with 'sophisticated' technology and the company's 'most dramatic production design'.

The 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe extracts its juice from the same 6.2-litre V8 engine found in the sedan version, meaning the 556 HP (415 kW) and 551 lb.-ft. of torque (747 Nm) that are produced enable the 2+2 coupe to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds.

For the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe GM is offering a dual-clutch Tremec TR6060 6-speed manual transmission or a Hydra-Matic 6L90 6-speed automatic with paddle-shift control and in both cases power is sent to the rear wheels via a limited slip differential.

Some of the other technical features found on the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe include Magnetic Ride Control which according to GM is the 'world’s fastest-reacting suspension' and the Brembo brakes with six-piston calipers in the front and four-piston calipers in the rear.

At the interior the CTS-VCoupe gets optional Recaro seats, microfiber inserts, a hand-stitched instrument panel, door trim and center console, a 40 Gb hard drive for the infotainment system and a Bose digital surround audio.

The 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe price was not announced yet.
