Volkswagen has developed a new iPhone application that will help high-tech rally fans keep up with progress in the 2010 Dakar Rally by sending news, results and videos directly to the user's screen before and during the competition. The 2010 Dakar Rally - Volkswagen iPhone application will constantly send users information regarding the five factory-prepared and factory-fielded Race Touaregs as well as insights from VW Motorsports and access to detailed stage information and maps of the Dakar. Volkswagen will defend its title at the 2010 Dakar Rally which leads through Argentina and Chile running twice across the Andes as well as through the Atacama desert from 2 to 16 January 2010.
